The Nanaimo Arts Council is an umbrella organization dedicated to the support, development and promotion of all the arts in Nanaimo and the surrounding area.  The Council encourages the professional artist, the emerging artist, and the disenfranchised and disabled artist.

Our program includes:

• visual arts, (painting, photography, sculpture, pottery)

• literary arts, (poetry, prose, short stories, novels)

• film,

• performing arts (instrumental and choral music, dance, theatre)

• and an annual bursary program for local arts students looking to further their arts education.

The Nanaimo Arts Council is a non-profit, charitable organization that relies on the help of volunteers.
