The conference centre walls are being brought to life with a new exhibit.

The Nanaimo Arts Council is presenting All About Animals in the Vancouver Island Conference Centre’s Pipers Lagoon Lobby. From now until April 4, 12 wildlife-related works by local artists will be on display. The show features paintings, photographs and sculptural pieces.

“It’s a little bit more eclectic than a show with only paintings, so we’re really inclusive and showing that this art exhibition is for a varied types of artists,” said Delie Lawley, arts council volunteer.

Later this month, Lawley will begin accepting submissions for the next lobby art show, which will focus on portraits.

"Nanaimo Arts Council acknowledges with gratitude and thanks  that we are on the traditional and unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation."

We acknowledge the financial assistance from

the Province of British Columbia.
