Poet Heidi Greco: a long time resident of Surrey BC, a writer and editor who also leads workshops. The topics range from ekphrastic poetry to chapbook making. She's been an advocate for the literary arts in her community and was instrumental in establishing two distinct reading series. She considers her greatest success to have been convincing her city to hire an official Poet Laureate. She write in many genres. Poetry, fiction, essays and book reviews are some of her forums. Her books include a novella, 'Shrinking Violets' which was a co-winner of the Ken Klonsky Award in 2011. Her work has also appeared in many anthologies, most recently in 'Refugium : Poems for the Pacific (Caitlin Press, 2017). She keeps a sporadic blog at outonthebiglimb.blogspot.ca.



Poet Barbara Pelman: For many years Barbara Pelman has taught English at the high school and college levels, primarily in BC. Born in Vancouver, she studied at University of BC and the University of Toronto. She had been an active participant in the Bictoria writing community. She is a member of the Ramdom Acts of Poetry team, a regular reader at Planet Earth Poetry, and the instigator of Victoria's 'Poetry Walls,' created by her students in the downtown core.

Pelman's poems have appeared in many literary journals, including Event, Fiddlehead, ANtigonish Review, Dalhousie Review and CV2. 'Borrowed Rooms' is her second book of poetry, following 'One Stone' published in 2005 by Ekstasis Editions. 'Narrow Bridge' is her most recent collection of work.
