The 5th Annual FESTIVAL Nanaimo is a multi-dimensional community festival that takes place in Nanaimo throughout the month of March each year.
Festival Nanaimo is about exploring Nanaimo, through a variety of activities that include great music, comedy, performance art, visual art, culinary art with whisk(e)y, bacon & bevy tastings, Nanaimo Bars, Spring Break activities and finishing with the 5th Annual PirateFest Family FunDay.
Throughout the month of March there is something for everyone including 10 Festival Nanaimo Signature Events taking place at the Port Theatre, unless otherwise listed.
March 8 - The 17th Annual Wee Tipple Whisk(e)y Festival presented by Crimson Coast Dance at The Grand Hotel - 7-10 p.m.
March 9 - POWER Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains the Same with the Jeans’ & Classics Band and Vancouver Island Symphony 7:30 p.m.
March 10 - Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba presents CUBA VIBRA! presented by The Port Theatre.
March 13 – Award winning Canadian a cappella singing sensation COUNTERMEASURE with Tidemens Chorus. 7 p.m.
March 15 - Bacon & Bevy Event presented by Pacific Island Entertainment at Beban Park Social Centre 6 pm - 10 pm.
March 16 - David Gogo’s 50th Birthday Blues Bash with David Vest, Ken Hamm and hosted by Terry David Mulligan. 7:30 p.m.
March 17 - St. Paddy’s Day Celebration with East Coast St. Paddy’s Day Party with the Derina Harvey Band 2 p.m. Show
March 21 - Happy Hour SoundBites Concert at 5:30 p.m. with Appetizer Bites OR 7:15 p.m. Dessert Bites; one hour concerts presented by the Vancouver Island Symphony.
March 22 - Circle Game: Reimagining the music of Joni Mitchell - an Arts Club Theatre Company Production presented by The Port Theatre.
March 29 - 5th Annual PirateFest Family FunDay – at Country Club Centre, Pirate headquarters - presented by Festival Nanaimo.
