Call Out To Artists: Sidney Fine Art Show


The Sidney Fine Art Show began in 2003 and has become one of the largest and most prestigious juried art shows in British Columbia.  This 3-day event has grown steadily bringing nearly 4,000 visitors in to view the art.  Over 1,000 pieces of art come in for adjudication from which our Jurors select close to 400 for the Show.  It is always a diverse selection of painting, sculpture, fibre arts, photography and more guaranteed to intrigue the viewer and stimulate discussion.  Word has spread among our visitors that this is THE show to see.



The 16th Annual Sidney Fine Art Show presented by the ArtSea Community Arts Council will be held at the Mary Winspear Centre, October 12 – 14, 2018.


This is a juried show.  Selection is based on excellence, creativity, originality and technical achievement with an emphasis on artistic accomplishment.  Prizes will be awarded in nine categories:  Best In Show, Best Work Under Glass, Best Work on Board or Canvas, Best 3-Dimensional, Best Photograph/Digital Media, the Colin Graham Award for Innovation, Master’s Category, Show Designer’s Award and Jurors Awards.  All Awards will be presented Opening Night, Thursday, October 11, 2018 in the Charlie White Theatre at the Mary Winspear Centre.





Entry Fee:   $16 per piece.  Non-refundable.


Entry Form:   Available on-line at  Click on Artists tab, drop down menu to “Entry Form”.  Forms may be filled out on-line or downloaded as a PDF.  Entry Forms will also be available at the ArtSea Gallery at Tulista Park, 9565 Fifth Street, Sidney B.C.

How to enter:

  • Option 1: On-Line  Complete and submit Entry Form on-line at  Pay entry fee using PayPal.

  • Option 2: By Mail  Complete Entry Form and mail to Sidney Fine Art Show, Box 2221, Sidney, B.C. V8L 3S8.  Include cheque for full amount of entry fee payable to Sidney Fine Art Show.  Do not mail cash.

  • Option 3: In Person  Bring completed Entry Form and payment to the ArtSea Gallery at Tulista Park, 9565 Fifth Street, Sidney, B.C. during business hours, Tuesday – Friday, 10 am – 4 pm.  Cash, cheque, debit and credit card payment accepted.  After Hours:  Drop Entry Form and payment (cheque or cash) in the ArtSea Gallery mail slot located in the back door (ocean side of building).

Information Package:  An Information Package, including specific forms for identifying each work to be submitted, will be mailed to you no later than July 31, 2018.


Display Fees:  Following Adjudication, artists whose work has been accepted into the Show will be required to pay a display fee of $37 per piece selected.


Sales Commission:  Accepted artists are charged a 25% commission on art sales.
